App Settings
The App Settings section of your event dashboard allows you to control key aspects of the attendee experience. This includes:
- Web App โ Access and share the browser-based version of your event app
- Menu โ Customize the navigation menu in the mobile app
This guide focuses on how to configure the mobile app menu, including how the default menu works, how to override it, and what customization options are available.
๐งญ Default Menu Behavior
By default, every event app includes the following menu items:
- Schedule
- Speakers
- Exhibitors
- Sponsors
- Maps
- Inbox
- About
When no custom configuration is made, this default menu is automatically used.
โ๏ธ Custom Configuration Behavior
As soon as any custom menu item is added via the configuration tool:
- The default menu is completely replaced.
- The menu shown in the app will consist only of the items you explicitly add.
- The configuration UI will show your custom menu items instead of remaining empty.
โ ๏ธ Be sure to include all desired functionality manually if overriding the default. Items like "Inbox" or "Schedule" are not preserved unless added.
๐ท Custom Labels
Each menu item supports a custom label, allowing you to rename items to better suit your event's branding or terminology.
Examples:
- "Schedule" can be renamed to "Agenda"
- "Speakers" could become "Presenters"
- "Vendors" could named "Exhibitors"
- "Inbox" could be labeled "Messages"
These custom labels appear in the appโs navigation in place of the default names.

When customizing, you can add any combination of the following items:

๐ก Tips
- Order matters: Menu items appear in the order you add them.
- Start with intention: Once you add a single item, the default set is gone.
- Re-add key items: If you rely on features like the schedule or inbox, make sure to include them in your custom menu.
- Rename freely: Use custom labels to align navigation with your event's tone and language.
๐งผ Restoring Defaults
To return to the default menu:
- Remove all custom menu items from the configuration tool.
- The default menu will reappear automatically.
